Displayed on a still screen, Gob'n'Frog puts the player in control of Phoebe the frog. To hop from one lily pad to the next, Phoebe can move in 4 directions. When there is an insect in the selected direction, she turns to face it and, with a quick flick of the tongue, gobbles it up.

But watch out: the fish in the pond are hungry too and will try to catch the insects for themselves.

Fortunately, being such a greedy frog, Phoebe has developed a special technique for catching all the insects around her with a single flick of the tongue!

Phoebe is a kind frog who lives in a pond on Frenzy Island. But like all the islands inhabitants, she is a little unusual.

Once she starts gobbling up flies, nothing can stop her.

The most curious thing about Phoebe is that she doesn’t know she’s a frog, but thinks she’s a salamander, which is why she can’t swim and stays at the surface of the pond, leaping from lily pad to lily pad.
