Displayed on a still screen, Crazy Dog offers intuitive playability and is very straightforward. To defend his food bowls, Crazy the dog can move in 8 directions, using 8 phone touch buttons. Crazy automatically barks as he approaches his opponents, to frighten them away.

With each new level, the number of opponent dogs on the screen increases and the player must demonstrate sang-froid and dexterity to ward off these increasingly tough animals.

In Crazy Dog, the player assumes the identity of Crazy, a dog that has been bitten by a Frenzy Mosquito.

The mosquito bite has turned Crazy so mad that he attacks everyone, and his masters no longer dare come close to him to at feeding time. Instead, they leave his food bowls far from him. Tied to a post in the middle of the garden, Crazy must fight off the starving neighbourhood dogs, which will try anything to steal his food.

The player’s task is to keep the other dogs away from Crazy’s food bowls, to stop him getting depressed.
